I am an action sport athlete. Needless to say I injure myself often in both training and competition. I was introduced to SCENAR therapy way back in 2004 and was amazed. Every time I fly back into Sydney I have a treatment with Chris and when time allows I stay for multiple sessions for both injury and general recovery.
I purchased my own personal SCENAR and energy blanket to use while I am travelling. SCENAR therapy benefits appear to be almost limitless for health and wellbeing. My mum, a registered nurse and natural therapist, continues to study Scenar therapy with Chris. We believe Chris Mortensen to be a master where Scenar is involved.

At the beginning of 2006 I was looking for relief for my chronic neck injury.
I was told about SCENAR therapy and thought it could help me in my pursuit of another world surfing title and a life without pain. I commenced treatment and continued throughout the year.
SCENAR therapy supported my nervous system, encouraged my body to heal, allowed me to maintain strength and fitness and treat my injuries.
SCENAR therapy with Chris Mortensen enabled me to compete at my optimal level and as a result I won my 7th World Surfing Title in 2006.
Amy 10 years old
SCENAR Therapy changed my daughter's life.
In January 2003, my daughter Amy was 10 years old and experiencing general health problems. She was fatigued, had mood swings and had shooting pains in her legs. She had previously enjoyed excellent health therefore we were concerned and began seeking treatment. Our Chiropractor recommended we get some x rays of her spine as he thought she was developing scoliosis. In January of 2003 she had her first x-ray. This showed a 10-degree curvature in her spine. We were told to wait for 12 weeks and re x -ray. No treatments helped her pain/discomfort. Massage gave her some temporary relief. After 12 weeks her x rays showed her curvature was now 20 degrees. Such rapid decline is unusual and extremely serious. She was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation. She was immediately put into a full body brace; she was required to wear the brace for 20 hours a day. Amy was told to stop all impact sports and had to cheer from the sideline in her netball. In the hours Amy was not in the brace she swam for one hour, chiropractic appointments 3 afternoons and we home treated with Tens machine 3 afternoons a week to supplement the bracing therapy and manipulations. Amy also had regular Clinical Pilate's sessions with a Physiotherapist. She was eating an organic wheat free diet because there is anecdotal evidence that scoliosis is sometimes related to poor nutrient absorption.
In April 2003 Chris Mortensen commenced coming to our home to give Amy a SCENAR treatment before she went to sleep. The SCENAR therapy helped balance her mentally and physically and relieved the pain and discomfort caused by the back brace. Amy enjoyed her treatments and looked forward to Chris coming to see her. We were able to stop the Tens treatment. This TENS was a relief to Amy as she found it very uncomfortable.
By July she was x- rayed again and her scoliosis was now 28 degrees. She was given a diagnostic MRI that showed no underlying pathology causing the curve (No Cancerous tumours pushing out her spine/ no Chiari Malformation). At this time Amy lost her reflexes in her knees and she was scheduled for an urgent clinic appointment with The West Mead Children's Hospital Neuro Muscular Department.
At about this time we had decided to cancel our long planned ski holiday – Amy's favourite sport of all. Our Specialist advised us ... " Perhaps you should still go as planned - let her ski if she feels she can do it in the brace – this may be the last year she will be able to...let her enjoy as much of her life as she can – her muscles are degenerating and there is nothing we can do to stop that – she may be wheel chair bound by next year. " There was talk of operations to implant a steel rod to support her spine... At West Mead, neurologists examined Amy and preliminary tests were done. She could not be diagnosed with any known disorder without a muscle biopsy being taken of her spine. At this point I held up my hand and said "ENOUGH!! The biopsy would require a section of her spinal muscle to be removed in order to establish an accurate diagnosis. However even with an accurate diagnosis they could offer her no treatment.
At this time; Chris Mortensen asked if he could commence regular SCENAR treatment with Amy as he felt he could give her a more targeted treatment and hopefully not only relieve her pain but also perhaps restore function to her spinal muscles. To be completely honest we felt we would try anything.
Over the next 8 weeks Chris treated Amy and by August we began to see some improvement in her posture. She was increasingly more energised, happier and her sleep improved. Her SCENAR treatments were now also supplemented with an Energy Blanket. Amy was particularly fond of the blanket. She would comment after Chris had left that she was happy. This would bring tears to my eyes as it was usually said while I was strapping my little girl back into a thick plastic neck to hip brace which she would have to stay in for the next 20 hours. The nights after the SCENAR Treatment and energy blanket were always Amy's best nights sleep.
Towards the end of August, Amy also experienced some alarming but welcome spasms in her kneecaps. It looked as though they would jump right off her knee - she was thrilled and scared at the same time. I didn't know what to think. At her next Hospital Clinic appointment the Neuro Conductor tests showed Amy now had NORMAL reflexes in her knees and connectivity in her spinal muscles.
We all became a little more hopeful.
SCENAR treatments continued.
In early September 2003, just a few days before Amy turned 11, she had a problem with the brace. One of the buckles broke. I took it back to be fixed and within 2 days it broke again. I asked the technician what could be the reason the buckle kept breaking and he was not sure as he thought the only explanation would be that her spine was different from when the cast was done and that perhaps we should ascertain if she needed a new brace (at $4000 and a big ordeal for Amy each time - I was not happy about that!) Plus I was worried it meant her spine had collapsed further and that Surgery would again be spoken of as the only course of treatment for her. A new x-ray was ordered. I also asked Amy if she had experienced any changes she could feel. It was at this time she told me she had also had the spasms in her Spine a few days before and that she was feeling OK even when the brace was off. I left it a few days before collecting the brace and Amy still seemed to feel OK without the brace (Previously she would ask to have it back on within 3 hours of having it removed - the brace kept her internal organs safe and also she felt very tired when she didn't have it on.)
We contacted Chris and he suggested we get her x rayed again. We obtained a referral and she had her first x rays that showed a completely straight spine. The orthopaedic surgeon was concerned that the result was because of a residual effect from the brace and asked us to repeat her x ray 2 days later. By the time Amy's last x rays were done she had not been in the brace for nearly a week. The second set confirmed the result. Her spine was straight!!! No more brace!
Since then Amy has had some growing pains and each time she has had a SCENAR treatment. There have been no further Spinal problems and she is now a happy 13 years old in Year 8 of High School. She enjoys skiing, netball, swimming, dancing and school. She once again enjoys excellent health.
We are forever grateful to Chris Mortensen for treating Amy. Chris assures us that Amy did the healing herself - all he did was encourage the body in the right direction. One thing is for sure - Amy couldn't have done it without him!

In July 2002, I was diagnosed with a tumour in the right parieto-occipital region of my brain. It measured 60 mm by 59 mm by 56 mm - the size of an orange! In addition, there was "compression of the right side of the tentrium causing significant tonsillar herniation and effacement of the basal cisterns in the posterior fossa". In other words, my brain was pushing down my spine.
Surgery was successful and the tumour was removed completely, but I was left with a major pain syndrome, affecting my lower left leg, left arm and the right side of my head at the site of the operation. The next six years was a fruitless search for permanent pain relief. Pain Clinics, neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, herbalists, naturopaths - I tried them all!
In 2008, my ever supportive Family Doctor told me about Scenar Health and suggested I talk to Chris Mortensen. I had to be driven to my first appointment with Chris and the journey had to be broken in two - I could not cope with a 45 minute car drive. My pain was severe. I could not concentrate. I was desperate for help. At my very first SCENAR treatment from Chris, I began to feel my head clearing for the first time in six years. I was able to focus and the pain became less severe. I saw Chris several times over the next few weeks and it was like a miracle. I found Susan again, the person I thought was lost forever.
I can now drive again. I can read again. I can think again. I can make decisions. I still have the occasional 'wobble' and need to see Chris periodically for him to balance my nervous system and return me to my true self. I recommend Chris to anyone. He is an honest, caring person who has helped me to regain my life.
Thank you Chris - from me and all my family.

My experience with SCENAR Therapy
I am a 57-year-old female.
In January 1994 I was involved in a car accident whilst at work which resulted in a whiplash injury to my neck. This was recognised by Work Cover as having caused permanent damage to my neck. Scoliosis and Kyphosis had also developed in my spine at around about the age of 11, but only started to cause significant pain after the accident. Before the accident I was quite fit due to the fact I did labouring type work on my property and had ridden horses and swum all my life. I had been attending a manipulative physiotherapist who specialised in treating neck injuries since the accident. However in 1997 I did not work for 3 months as my right arm ceased to function also due to the injury. Arthritic changes had also taken place in my neck.
Fortnightly physiotherapy combined with the gym attendance 2 - 3 times a week gave relief in the short term. My doctor advised me that I would suffer worse pain as I grew older and physio and gym and medication was the only remedy he could offer. I had been prescribed pain and anti-inflammatory medication to help control the constant pain in my neck and back. My fitness had suffered, I had gained weight, I could no longer exercise the way I used to and I was feeling depressed at the thought that nothing could be done.
I have been examined by at least 10 orthopaedic specialists since 1994 in regards to the whiplash, who, when questioned about the scoliosis advised no remedy was available.
From the first SCENAR treatment the difference was obvious. The scoliosis and kyphosis which were frozen, lumpy and very sore to touch (even after physiotherapy are now more flexible and pain free. the kyphosis, an unsightly bump situated where my neck joined my back was unsightly and sore to the touch, has now disappeared and I can now feel the underlying vertebra!
I am free of the constant neck pain (which had been getting worse), my neck is much stronger and I have regained the full range of movement. I no longer require any pain medication.
I feel as if I have been given a new body. It is flexible, I am able to hold my shoulders back and can stand straight again, I have lost weight, and I no longer have problems with fluid retention. I can exercise properly now and am riding again.
Since childhood I had also suffered badly from numerous allergies, which got worse every spring, and on occasion developed into bronchial asthma, I took hay fever and asthma medication for the asthma. I commenced SCENAR treatment round April 2004, in October I was surprised to realise that I had not developed hay fever as usual and have had no need for any further medication. For this result alone the SCENAR treatment has been more than worthwhile.
Another completely unexpected benefit has been the alleviation of a tendency towards depression due to hereditary factors, the death of my husband; a stressful job and I guess the constant pain.
SCENAR treatment has given me enormous amounts of physical and mental energy and a wonderful sense of well-being.
I cannot believe how lucky and privileged I am to have been able to receive SCENAR treatment especially from some one as skilled and dedicated as Chris Mortensen.

My sixteen-year-old daughter, Ebony has suffered for 18 months with debilitating pain from dysmenorrhea (painful period). Every month she misses two to three days of school, completely sedated on prescription analgesia. Doctors have sent her for a myriad of tests and many treatments have been tried, from contraceptive pill, hormone balancing creams and different types of alternative medicine.
In desperation we decided to try SCENAR therapy with Chris Mortensen, following a friends urgent promptings. This friend had testified to incredible pain relief after her first SCENAR treatment. She was suffering from metastatic breast cancer and was able to sleep relatively pain free for the first time in months following SCENAR Therapy and after lying in the Energy blanket. Ebony has had three treatments with Chris and the positive results still amaze us. For the first time in 18 months she was able to attend school through her entire cycle. She has not taken prescription analgesia for three months. Ebony's life has been turned around and she is now able to focus on her Year 12 studies. She uses the SCENAR as soon as pain presents. She is able to control her pain and therefore is responsible for her own healing.
I have been in private practice as a physiotherapist and Acupuncturist for over 25 years. Witnessing such spectacular results with my daughter I decided to investigate SCENAR further for use in my practice and with family and friends. I have now purchased a SCENAR device and Orgone blanket. I have completed Level One training and have seen outstanding results in three months. Most musculo - skeletal conditions and sports injuries seen in my practice are simply and quickly treated. Pain relief is often immediate and is more rapid than using other modalities. Recovery time is also reduced dramatically.
I have also used SCENAR in more complex systemic conditions that I would have treated with Acupuncture. Gynaecological, digestive, respiratory, urinary and neurological conditions have all responded well. When used in conjunction with the Energy blanket. SCENAR has remarkable results with patients suffering from stress related illnesses, depression, anxiety and trauma of any type. Patients have reported total pain relief whilst resting in the blanket. A warm, peaceful feeling is experienced followed by mental and physical rejuvenation.
My family enjoys many sports from high-level competition swimming and soccer to netball, touch football and surfing. The whole family for muscle aches and strains, skin conditions and for general balancing uses the SCENAR and blanket regularly and successfully. Pain medication and anti-inflammatory medications are now a purchase of the past. SCENAR therapy has redefined my approach to treatment as a physiotherapist. SCENAR follows the principles of Eastern philosophy in that it focuses on health rather than disease. As it is a totally holistic approach to treatment SCENAR therapy should be used with great respect; it is challenging and exciting and its potential appears limitless. I look forward to undertaking further levels of training to better understand the full use of this remarkable therapy.
I will always be grateful to Chris Mortensen for his life changing treatment with Ebony and for his encouragement and support of my pursuit of SCENAR therapy.

| Post Viral Meningitis Headaches and Allergies |

Emma Jane, 10years old, is NSW state champion three years running for womans artistic gymnastics. She was training twenty two hours per week until September 2005, when she came down with a virus. She had very sore neck, high temperatures, headaches, sore throat, nose bleeds and muscle aches. Two weeks after the virus, she was still suffering with aching muscles and the headaches. After many visits to doctors it was confirmed that the virus was viral meningitis.
Two months later, even though Emma was back at school, she no longer could do gymnastics as her muscles were still very sore. Any stretching of the spine gave her the headaches. When she did a handstand the headaches, rating the pain from one to ten ( ten being the worse ), was eight. Four months after the virus, she attempted to go back to the gym from time to time, for twenty minutes. This didn't last very long as she was in too much pain.
Five months after the virus and many visits to different doctors later, Emma's muscles were improving but she was still left with the headaches. She had quit her dance group and had stopped doing all sports at school. The pain was now a six out of ten. A Professor of special diseases advised me that Emma would not be back in action for a long time, and all we could do is just wait for her body to heal itself. This was very upsetting as there are many reports of people suffering from post viral meningitis headaches for years.
A friend had told me about the SCENAR treatment so I rang Chris and decided to give it a go. The day after the first treatment, Emma's headaches were worse. On doing a handstand they were a seven. The following day they were five. Over the next three weeks that was how the Scenar worked. The day after the treatment she would be one step worse and the following day, two steps better. I also noticed Emma's intolerance to dairy was disappearing. All her life whenever she consumed dairy, her skin would become red and dry under her eyes as there would be a build up of mucus. Now that was gone.
As well as the dairy intolerance clearing, Emma had a fungal infection on all her fingers that she had picked up, possibly from the gym. It started on one finger and gradually over a period of one year, spread to all her fingers. We had been to the doctor about it and had tried many different creams. After three Scenar treatments, it had cleared up.
Four weeks after the first SCENAR treatment, Emma is completely better. There are no more headaches and she is now back at the gym, gradually building up her hours and eager to compete in September. She is also enjoying eating dairy.

My Experience with SCENAR -
Brenda R
I was diagnosed with non-hodgkinsons lymphoma on the 28th of December 2005. The medical treatment protocol was chemotherapy in combination with biological therapy, a white blood cell stimulating injection and high dose steroids. This was all to be given to me every 2 weeks for a total of 6 cycles. The chemotherapy was administered over an hour and a half on day one of the cycle and the biological therapy was administered over approximately 4 hours after the chemotherapy. I took the steroid tablets daily for 5 days following the chemotherapy and had one cycle of blood, cell stimulation injection, also on the day following the chemotherapy. Radiation therapy was to follow once the chemotherapy was completed.
While deciding what I was going to do and how best to tackle my treatment, I was told about Chris Mortensen and SCENAR therapy by a colleague.
Now is the time to tell you a bit about myself before I go further. Professionally I am both a naturopath and a registered nurse and have always believed that there is a place for both orthodox and complementary medicine. As a registered nurse I worked primarily in intensive care at Royal North Shore hospital. As a naturopath I ran my own business and also worked as a lecturer and naturopathic student clinic supervisor at Nature Care College in Sydney, Australia.
I have always believed in and practiced preventative medicine both personally and professionally. I ate well and did not eat meat, gluten or dairy products, did not smoke or drink, exercised, meditated and led a very active life. I was however very stressed and did not always have a good balance between work, relaxation and play. And, I too became challenged with a diagnosis of cancer.
My father had had a kidney tumor removed in 2000 and in 2004 my first cousin (paternal) was diagnosed with hodgkinsons lymphoma and was treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy. There was a definite genetic link on my father's side.
So there I was, the naturopath who believed in 'clean living' suddenly being told that I needed to put the most toxic of chemicals into my body in order to survive and needed to expose myself to x-rays, pet scans, ct scans and other forms of radiation (not to mention the radiation therapy that I was told I would need to survive). After so many years of being watchful of what I put into my body, ensuring that my liver and digestive systems were functioning as best as they could, I was going to have to submit them to the harshest of drugs. Thank goodness I had had such a good start so that I could give myself and my body the best possible fighting chance.
This is where SCENAR came into its own and became one of my biggest "allies". SCENAR continuously helped me be as strong - physically, psychologically and emotionally - as I could be throughout my treatment.
I had my first session with Chris a week before I was due to start chemotherapy. From the start I was informed that SCENAR could help in two ways. It could assist me with any specific symptoms that I may experience through the treatments and would also treat me as a 'whole'. It was not going to "treat the cancer that I had" but give my body as a whole unit all the assistance it could to continue to fight and heal.
Chris made no promises and guarantees and I knew from the outset that we would take each session as it presented.
I made my commitment to SCENAR and we began. I say commitment as I believe that making such a commitment increased the benefit of the treatments and encouraged me each time we (my mother being my driver) made the 2 hour return trip once, twice, three or even five times a week. I became an active part of my treatments and always felt that it was Chris and I conducting each session. The beauty of Scenar is that patient participation is as vital to the session as the practitioner's knowledge and skill.
My journey through my chemotherapy and healing was physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. SCENAR assisted me in all areas.
Each session, Chris and I would talk about the symptoms I was experiencing, how I was feeling within myself and what was bothering me the most. It helped me keep track of all that I was feeling and also how much I was improving and recovering with each session. As I went through each cycle I was able to determine when I was going to experience particular symptoms. What I found with my continued treatments was that the intensity and duration of the symptoms improved through the cycles and not all the symptoms were present with each cycle. It is difficult to give an exact number of days that each symptom lasted as it changed so quickly following treatments. Some of the symptoms would ease off and then return but would then ease off with further treatments.
All symptoms improved while I was actually having the treatment. This continually reinforced the power of SCENAR and what my body was able to recover from. To be able to experience an easing of symptoms each session was wonderful and so empowering.
I was also able to visually see and understand just how much and how well my body was working to regain its balance with the readings that Chris regularly took. In fact he often mentioned to me that I was showing numbers that 'healthy' people were commonly not showing when ideally they should have been. This always gave me such a boost.
The physical symptoms I experienced included:
-
Digestive
* feeling that my tongue and throat was swollen
* abdominal distension
* hemorrhoids and anal pain
* abdominal burning
* appetite changes (mostly after my first cycle)
-
Musculoskeletal
* leg and muscle pain
* tension
-
General fatigue
-
Hormonal
* hot flushes
Emotionally, when I went for my first appointment, I was about to start chemotherapy and was working through my feelings and fears around that and coming to terms with what was actually happening to me. In many ways I was not surprised that I had been diagnosed with cancer and felt that I was now being given my greatest challenge. At that appointment a lot of emotions came out and I was told by Chris to just go with it, not to focus on any particular emotion but to just let them come and go. I realized then the powerful effect that SCENAR had on our emotional and psychological health.
When I was first told of my diagnosis, I was completely positive and absolutely certain that I was going to be OK and would come through everything. It came as a shock to me when during my first cycle of chemotherapy I 'lost' myself in all the new experiences and not knowing what to expect. SCENAR helped me find myself again so that I could go on with the next cycle rather than throwing the towel in and giving up.
So many books I had read talked about the need to be positive, the need to believe that you are going to be OK. What I found they didn't go into much or at all was the negativity you could feel, the thoughts that it would be easier to just roll up and give up, was it all worth it, was life worth living, what meaning was there in life, did I actually want to live. My SCENAR treatments helped me move through the emotions and I often found that during a treatment emotions would come up or I would just start crying. I always felt better after a session and felt that my overall well-being improved each time. I realized that it takes courage to live, that you need to choose to live and once you do there is so much to support you and that it is up to us to make our own lives meaningful and worthwhile. I believe that as my physical symptoms were helped so much with SCENAR I was able to more effectively deal with all my emotions.
The "energy blanket" was an integral part of my treatment and recovery. I did not realize the power of it until I had experienced it for a little while. It helped me to maintain my energy, sleep better, it eased joint and muscular pains that I experienced during the cycles and it gave me an overall sense of wellbeing. Following my chemotherapy I would spend 2 whole days in the blanket and any time I had a rest or slept I was wrapped in my blanket.
While I did experience side effects from the treatment cycles I know that they were not as numerous, severe or prolonged as many other people experience.
SCENAR together with the other complimentary therapies that I chose to incorporate always were the primary tools in my arsenal that I used to survive my experience with cancer and chemotherapy was the ingredient that I needed to kick start it all (for which I will always be grateful). And, I don't need to have radiation treatment after all!
When SCENAR therapist Chris Mortensen arrived at the hospital, Sol the 12 year old who had suffered a mutilated hand, was extremely lethargic and drowsy. Chris treated him on the opposite hand to the wound, after the treatment Sol spirits had lifted and he became energised and much happier......a total 180 deg shift in less than an hour!
Sol said he could feel the SCENAR 'sending tingles' to his wounded hand which had been snapped in half in the accident and rebuilt with plates and screws.
Sol has remained bright, relaxed and content since the SCENAR treatment 7 days ago. He is now on a positive road to recovery.
Many thanx to you Chris and the sensational SCENAR!
I am a Registered Nurse with 27 years experience in acute care nursing. Currently I am working in the busiest Emergency Department in Perth, Western Australia. I was introduced to SCENAR in June 2008 where I completed Level 1 Training in Sydney. I embraced the holistic concepts, principles, and protocols of SCENAR therapy. They made perfect sense to me in the scheme of universal dynamics and being quite an eclectic nurse, I was excited about what SCENAR technology would bring to western medicine. With my newfound pain management and health restoration strategy I went about treating my family, friends and work colleagues. Despite having only completed Level 1 training at this stage I was still achieving unbelievable results with people I treated. My western medical indoctrinated brain was becoming quite vigilant about potential application of this device in an acute care environment. I did possess slight healthy scepticism about how effective SCENAR therapy would be in an acute situation….
Then it happened. In July 2008 I was walking back from a lovely luncheon at the hotel which Level 2 training was being held when I felt a nasty sharp, deep, stabbing pain in my abdomen (right upper quadrant). My first thought was I shouldn't have had that 2nd serving of curry ... I sat down in my seat and the stabbing pain rapidly escalated to 10/10. I told Chris Mortensen to call an ambulance. Feeling faint, diaphoretic and extremely unwell I thought I was going to die. Doubled over, Chris told me to get on the massage table. I couldn't move so Chris and Wade (another Level 2 student) helped me up. I was feeling quite panicky by this stage. I wouldn't let Chris or Wade treat the point of pain. I still wanted an ambulance. They cleverly worked a reciprocal area for about 5-10mins. The pain settled down to about 3/10. Feeling exhausted and shocked I asked Chris "what was that?" he replied, "I don’t know". My medical training was going through all potential diagnosis - Cholecystitis? Cholelithiasis? Gall bladder artery spasm? Liver disease? Pancreatitis? All that mattered to me at the time was that the pain was manageable. I sat back in my seat wrapped in the blanket bandage and managed to get through the rest of the day. I doubted I would get through the night without a visit to the hospital. That night I slept with the bandage wrapped around my upper abdomen. Exhausted from having been in so much pain, I slept through the night pain free. I woke up pain free. I managed to complete Level 2 without any further episodes.
SCENAR technology and the expert handling of Chris and Wade saved probably well over $2000.00 in health care terms. An ambulance trip, intravenous analgesia and antiemetic, an ultrasound and possible surgical review and overnight stay in hospital? I have never had another episode. Whatever caused it has been resolved through one treatment of SCENAR in a very acute situation. I feel I needed to go through this whole experience to comprehend and respect the highly sophisticated technology of SCENAR. It was after this experience I decided I need to pursue clinical trials and open my own SCENAR Therapy Clinic in Perth. My clinic 'SCENAR - Relieving Pain Restoring Health' opened in Joondalup, Perth, WA in September 2008.

I am a 62 Year Old Female
I was a healthy, fit , very active person and then I suffered from an unknown virus for 14 months. For the first 3 months my GP sent me from one specialist to the next. I was told that there was no treatment for viruses. I then consulted a second GP for 11 months, who was also a naturopath, same diagnosis - virus, however he started to treat me with lots of vitamins, which included vitamin C injections 3 times a week for 3 weeks. Plus some main stream drugs, in an effort to get well.
12 months in I got much worse, I could hardly hold a cup, the shakes where so bad, my blood pressure was erratic, from very high to extremely low, I lost weight and most of my muscle tone. I got terrible headache and felt nausea.
Throughout the whole time I would get what ever cold or flu was around. I really felt the medical fraternity had abandoned me, they kept telling me it would go, but they had nothing to treat or help me. My quality of life was seriously affected, some days I struggled get out of bed.
Then a friend told me about SCENAR. I had no expectations; in fact 14 months prior to getting sick I would have been a sceptic. As I understood it the SCENAR helps your body to heal itself. The very first treatment, I started to eat again and the shakes where much less. The final result after 2 months is I felt well and I have my quality of life back. Nothing else work for me in 14 months except the SCENAR. So thank you Chris for your time and understanding and with the SCENAR making me well again.

Before meeting Chris Mortensen; I was booked in to get an arthroscopy on my lateral meniscus in my left knee. I was told there was a tear all the way through it, pretty much from over use. I have played sports such as football, cricket, water polo and surfing and it wasn't until my last game of football that my knee stiffened up after the game.
Chris asked me to give the SCENAR treatment a chance, as it was known to heal the body very well, even in an application where a doctor would tell you that you need surgery. On my first visit Chris "awoke" my brain to the trauma of the injury, which was seemingly forgotten over those past few months. I nearly fainted at this point. It also proved that something was happening. Chris advised me that this was normal and things were changing so it was a good indication that the treatment would work. We persisted with the treatments for the next 4 months, which left me just enough time to compete at the Australian Inter schools Championships.
SCENAR Therapy has given me 95% the range of motion I had before I tore the cartilage. He has managed to repair the meniscus to almost perfect. At my first treatment, Chris asked me what I wished to be able to do when my knee was healed. I said I would just like to run again and it not hurt. Chris has helped more than this. I gained the bronze medal individually in snow boarding at those Australian Championships and our team won the gold medal. I recently completed a whole season as a snowboard instructor and passed knee tests for strength and wear at Perisher Blue Ski Resort. Considering I found it hard to walk down stairs a little while ago; I owe much of my new mobile life to him.
I would recommend Chris - and I have done so. The awesome capabilities of SCENAR Treatments and Chris' amazing healing abilities are worth recommending.
Thanks again mate!!

As a result of an accident 4 years ago I subsequently lost all strength in my legs and was unable to stand or walk without the aid of a walking frame. Simple daily tasks such as brushing my teeth became virtually impossible and I was unable to walk without the aid of a frame.
In June 2007 I began SCENAR therapy at Scenar Health.
After 6 SCENAR treatments I am now able to walk without the aid of a frame and am looking forward to regaining my life back!!
Thank you.
In April 2007, hurrying to catch a bus, I fell over on uneven ground. I consulted a doctor and had an x-ray, which confirmed I had fractured my right ankle. I was referred to a physiotherapist who, after showing my x-ray to an orthopaedic surgeon, fitted me with an ankle brace. I was told to wear the brace for 6 weeks and then have another x-ray. The initial pain and swelling I experienced and my inability to walk easily continued throughout the 6 weeks. I contacted the physiotherapist during this time, expressing my concern that nothing was improving and was assured it was "normal". After 6 weeks I had a second x-ray, which showed there was no change at all to the fracture! The doctor was now of the opinion I would need surgery and referred me to an orthopaedic surgeon.
I had no confidence in the medical treatment I had received up to that point and I did not want to proceed with surgery. In my desperation to find an alternative, I recalled a friend telling me about SCENAR, months earlier and so I investigated it. I was given Juully Lyons number and made an appointment immediately. During my first consultation, Juully was able to tell me that my body had not registered my ankle was broken, hence there was no healing response, it was focused elsewhere!
I experienced immediate and considerable pain relief during that first session. Over 8 subsequent sessions, Juully continued to measure and stimulate my body's own healing response with SCENAR, working locally on my ankle and on my body's systems. My level of pain, the swelling and my ability to walk continued to improve with each session, until I reached a point of balance and normal functioning.
Juully's insight and warmth also helped me acknowledge the emotional and spiritual significance of my fracture, which she recognised were important to me. Working with Juully and SCENAR was a very positive, wholistic healing experience and will be my first choice of treatment for any future health issues I may face.

I had a fall on my knee that after being assessed by my Dr. and being told nothing else can be done; felt it was far from being normal. Juully's treatments with the SCENAR proved to be so effective - with 3 sessions, my knee was perfect with absolutely no sensitivity apparent.
The treatments also supported & strengthened the other knee, the ankles, all areas that had compensated for the injury. That confirmed my faith in the SCENAR and have continued my visits with Juuly for other symptoms mainly back pain. I am a 43 yr old and have never felt so healthy and strong; I have referred many of my friends to Juuly, and will continue to do so.
SCENAR has improved my quality of life. Thank you Juully!

I first had SCENAR treatment with Koula Babinall at Scenar health in October 2006 for a pinched Sciatic nerve which was causing me a great deal of pain in my lower back and severely restricted movement, a frequently recurring problem I had put up with for the past couple of years. When Koula treated me I was surprised that the SCENAR device itself felt like nothing more than a slight tingling sensation on contact, and was also so physically non-intrusive. After the first treatment the pain was reduced from a 9 out of 10 to a 4 out of 10, with a huge increase in my range of movement. I slept like a baby that night for the first time in months. After 3 treatments my pain level was 0 - 1, and range of movement was back to normal. I didn't realise how debilitating the pain and dysfunction had been until I was completely pain-free and had regained full mobility after the SCENAR treatments with Koula.
In February 2007 I experienced severe lower back pain whilst interstate at a work conference. On returning home barely able to walk, in constant excruciating pain and unable to sleep, an X-ray showed I had a bulging disk at L4 / L5. I saw a physio who recommended the mildest back exercises and I then had SCENAR treatment with Koula. After the first treatment my pain level went from an 8 out of 10 to a 3 out of 10. After 5 treatments my pain level was down to a 1 with normal range of movement.
At each treatment I came away relieved of pain and totally re-energised, ready once again to tackle my busy lifestyle. SCENAR therapy leaves me feeling BETTER than I did after the best massage I have ever had!
I would recommend SCENAR Therapy to anyone who suffers any painful condition or dysfunction as results are quick and sustained, and the bonus is a sense of well being, increased energy and a restful sleep.

I have known Jackie Aloisio for quite a number of years and was very interested to hear of her taking up the practice of SCENAR treatment. I learnt that this occurred after she had studied through all of the relevant courses associated with it to become a qualified practitioner. Also she learnt how to use the SCENAR under the renowned leading Australasian proponent of the device.
Having suffered over the years with debilitating problems from playing various competitive sports and also suffering in general with the "usual" aches and pains, I was keen to give this new treatment a go and see what it could do for me. Moreover, I had recently suffered an extremely painful blow to my knee from a fall. The result was numerous check-ups; scans; tests and a certain amount of physio rehabilitation, all of which confirmed the worst....the joint was well worn and would likely need a replacement to resolve the issue. A likelihood of having to use a walking stick to get around was also a distinct possibility. I am in my early fifties so this definitely was not my preferred choice.
With an open mind I underwent treatment from Jackie and immediately found the knee joint to be less painful and more agile after only the first session. I had undergone a few visits to the physiotherapist to regain mobility in the joint, which did occur but did not ease the ongoing soreness/pain I was experiencing in it. As had been the case from a specialist as well, the physio advised that this pain was likely to remain as the joint was too worn.
Well, I can advise that I am no candidate for the triple jump but I am finding life a lot more enjoyable these days! With ongoing SCENAR treatment from Jackie the knee is holding up extremely well and I am not in the constant pain I was experiencing from it. On top of this I have been a candidate over the years to suffer with back problems like a lot of other people, from bad day-to-day habits in life and also playing stressful sports like squash. My answer was regular visits to a therapist. The gains were only ever short term and sometimes the treatment created more pain than was originally felt.
Again, I went to Jackie for help in this area. Two treatments later and my back felt great! There has been hardly any recurrence of issues and occasionally when I do get some pain, a single Scenar session from Jackie usually is enough to resolve the problem.
Overall, I have been extremely impressed with what the SCENAR treatment has done for me. Although I know her personally from a long association, Jackie has dealt with me in all sessions in a thoroughly professional manner that has added to the experience. I now look upon the SCENAR as a primary choice for any physical ailment before I consider any other forms of treatment. I also would recommend Jackie as an extremely capable expert in the use of the device.
I suggest anyone to at least give it a try before passing it off as another one of these "alternative" options that really have become more mainstream these days.
This statement is given freely and without prejudice.

As a result of a soccer injury to my lower back in 2004 I have suffered from fairly steady pain and stiffness since then. It appeared that the muscle cover over the iliac crest or rear of the hip bone had been torn.
Medical treatment including physiotherapy and anti-inflammatory drugs helped a bit. Then regular visits to a registered cranial-osteopath for about a year showed some further improvement. After that there seemed little else to try. So for the next 4 years I just got used to it.
Recently, a friend suggested the SCENAR treatment which was new to Canada and so I thought I'd give it a try. It turned out that I felt immediate relief after one treatment and then had another before deciding that might be enough.
The pain and stiffness that had become part of my life have pretty much disappeared and I can honestly say that SCENAR has definitely changed my life for the better.

I had constant low-level tinnitus for 10 years, until a bad allergic reaction to enamel paint fumes sent the noise in my ears through the roof. They never went back to the low levels after that incident and I was unable to live a normal life. Most days my tinnitus was very loud; so loud I could hear the tinnitus above the vacuum cleaner in the same room!
Lack of sleep and nervous irritability as a result were just too much to bear. I sought out many different alternative modalities with no results. I talked to doctors including an ENT specialist and they just said, “There's no cure, you've got to live with it”. Well, I knew there was something out there that could make a difference; I wasn't prepared to give up so easily.
So I kept looking.
Then a friend told me about her experiences with healing for her daughters with SCENAR therapy at Scenar Health, so I booked in for my first treatment. I was very agitated and tense to begin with but noticed after the first treatment how much I'd relaxed and calmed down. I took this as a good sign, and booked in for more appointments twice weekly. On some treatments, the tinnitus would reduce to quite a low level, and on other treatments I would notice a lessening after a day or two. The more SCENAR treatments I had the more relaxed I became; the more relaxed I became the more sleep I enjoyed. Best of all, the less my ears bothered me! On about the 5th SCENAR treatment I noticed the noise level had reduced substantially and I was smiling because I knew was heading in the right direction and looked forward to more SCENAR treatments.
After about 14 treatments over 7 weeks, I felt like a different person! I was relaxed, slept easily, felt content and was much calmer and could handle everyday things without 'freaking out'. But the best thing was the tinnitus had reduced by half and I could function fully in the world with a smile on my face.
I feel so incredibly thankful that I was referred to Scenar Health who turned my life around for the better by returning my sanity. It's been such an incredible journey from utter despair to coming back to my original happy self that I had to purchase a SCENAR to use it at home on myself. I love my SCENAR and have noticed other improvements such as a dramatic increase in energy and general wellbeing.
Thank you Scenar Health!

Dear Jackie,
I would like to thank you for the service you have provided Kiana, when she has had an injury, especially before a competition ! She has found the SCENAR very helpful in giving pain relief and settling the injury. In stubborn problems, it has taken a few sessions but proved successful.
I can recommend the SCENAR as a treatment that works for her and provides her relatively quick recovery for her muscular sprains and injuries.
Thanks again for your great service.
Yours Sincerely,

Dear Jackeline,
I wanted to write to you to thank you for the work you have been doing with Mia to help her overcome her injuries while maintaining her hectic schedule as an elite gymnast representing NSW. As you know, when Mia first came to see you on the referral from another gymnast she was experiencing pinched pain in the left groin.
At the initial consultation, Mia described the pain as being 6.5 out of 10 and this restricted her from doing the splits on that side by 11cm off the ground and her pike had a difference of 15cm. In fact, despite trying various treatments, she had not been able to do either exercise without pain for over 12 months. So you can imagine what a relief it was to discover SCENAR. With each session you conducted, her pain decreased and her flexibility increased and this enabled her to continue training and competing.
After her SCENAR treatments, she recovered to a point where she was able to perform the splits and pike with no pain or restriction.
Thank you once again for your assistance. Your service has been terrific and effective and as a result we would have no hesitation recommending you and SCENAR to anyone else recovering from injury.
Yours Sincerely,

Lauren is a 10 year old International 8 women's artistic gymnast. For 14 months she suffered from Sinding Larsen & Johansson Syndrome, often known as "jumper's knee". Lauren had pain on jumping, hard to avoid in gymnastics and taped her knee 6 out of 7 days in an effort to cope with the pain. Every night we would apply ice and use gel to the knee to try and ease the pain. The specialist told us the only way it would improve was if she stopped gymnastics for maybe 3 months or so; the physiotherapist and chiropractor gave her various exercises to try to improve her knee. I was ready to pull her out of gym for a break. Lauren also has an L5 partial pars defect which also gave her regular pain. We discovered SCENAR through another gymnast and decided we had nothing to lose and everything to gain as Lauren had no intention of stopping gym and wanted to represent NSW at the National Championships in Queensland.
We met Jackie, she took a history and proceeded to work out the best way of treating Lauren. We have not looked back. Lauren's pain went from being a 9/10 to a 7/10 in one session. Within a few more sessions, we were down to a 2/10. I thought Lauren may have not been telling the truth as she was desperate to continue with gym, but I knew she wasn't lying when she stopped using strapping tape, something that had been her "best friend" for the last 14 months. She wouldn't even do PE at school without tape. Lauren has had no more knee pain, no back pain and every time she has a sprained ankle or some other pain, it's "can we see Jackie". Jackie and her SCENAR device helped Lauren get to Nationals and now I tell anyone who mentions "pain" to investigate SCENAR. I can truly say it has worked for Lauren. Jackie has been brilliant, fitting us into her schedule whenever needed. She explains everything and when we couldn't pack her into the suitcase for Nationals, she showed Lauren how to use the "SCENAR Home Device" my brother had purchased as he had been so impressed with his SCENAR treatment at the Narrabeen clinic for his chronic neck pain.
Without Jackie and her SCENAR , I really don't know if Lauren would still be doing gymnastics - you can only put up with so much constant pain.

Our daughter, Laura, trains up to 32 hours a week in an elite training program at Epping YMCA (Sydney, Australia). Whilst she loves her gymnastics it is very demanding physically. We have always taken a conservative approach to managing injuries and her coach is fantastic in ensuring that training does not exacerbate the strains, sprains and pains that are part of life for an elite gymnast. Several times during the year, though Laura needs physio support and we have been fortunate in finding an excellent physiotherapist.
While Laura has always had a good response from physiotherapy, SCENAR has proven to be absolutely amazing. For example, prior to this year’s National Gymnastics Championships Laura suffered a severe ankle sprain which was slow to respond to treatment and was impeding her preparation and chances of competing. Following a number of SCENAR treatments with SCENAR therapist Jackeline Aloisio, she was not only able to train, but was able to compete as a member of the NSW team and win Gold in the International 6 Team Competition.
Laura has also had knee pains at different times during the past year associated with soft tissue injuries. She began with physio support, taping and restricted training - no vault and restricted floor, but progress was slow and frustrating. Again, SCENAR results were amazing. After several treatments she returned to full training with no support taping required.
Most recently Laura has been treated for a mild sprain which made walking painful. Treatment of ice packs and rest provided only limited relief. It was amazing to see her limp into the SCENAR treatment session and one hour later walk out without any pain! Indeed she was able to return to full training the next day without any discomfort.
It is clear to us that SCENAR has facilitated healing of injuries associated with Laura’s demanding training regime and enabled her to pursue her gymnastics passion.
Thank you Jackie for your assistance and service, we have no hesitation in recommending you and SCENAR.
Yours Sincerely,
Ian Hird

Luge is the French word for sled. The sport of luge involves competitors propelling the luge forward, at the start in a sitting position gathering speed by paddling their hands and then lying back to wind their way down through an icy track. Australia has a short Olympic history in the sport of luge. Hannah Campbell-Pegg was Australia's third Olympic luge competitor at the 2006 Games in Torino, and now is in training for the 2010 Games in Vancouver, Canada.
Hannah uses SCENAR to help repair her injuries as well as help keep her at her optimum performance level.
Hannah says, "
In the sport of Luge my body is under extreme conditions on the track and also in the overseas winter climate. Keeping physically and mentally fit is a necessity in order to me to perform at my full potential. I was introduced to SCENAR and Chris Mortensen in 2008 through a friend as I was having difficulty with my hip after an operation. I had had the operation over a year before but it was still hindering my performance as I was having trouble with the joint and could not get full range of movement without pain.
SCENAR has helped me to gain majority of range of movement and I’m now training pain-free. SCENAR has also helped me to gain overall health by helping my nervous system to repair. It is an important part of my preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics".
